West Virginia Due to policy change, the State of West Virginia does not allow inmates or family members to purchase any personal property from an outside source. All purchases must be made from the commissary. If you wish to voice your opinion regarding this policy change please write to your local and state representatives and ask them to reinstate the outside vendor personal property policy as before. This policy restricts the inmates and its families ability to shop for the best price, quality and service while still adhering to the state guidelines with regards to safety and security. |
